LEAP – Local Energy Advice Partnership

About LEAP:

LEAP is an energy and money saving service that is helping people keep warm during the colder months and reduce their energy bills without costing them any money. The service is free of charge.

Advice Given to Customers:

  • Tariff advice
  • Fuel debt advice
  • Smart meter advice
  • Tips and advice on how to reduce energy
  • Small energy efficiency measures – LED bulbs, radiator panel, draught proofing etc
  • Checking Priority Services Register
  • Applying for water saving freebies (if eligible)
  • Any other queries the customer has on energy in their home

Support is open to everyone (including homeowners) providing the eligibility criteria is met.

Anyone receiving one of the following is eligible:

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Pension Guarantee Credit
  • Pension Savings Credit
  • Child Tax Credit / Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Reductions
  • A Disability Benefit (Incl. Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance DLA, PIP, Severe Disablement Allowance, Adult Disability Benefit, Child Disability Benefit)
  • Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit

Or if:

  • Total annual household income less than £31,000

Call our Customer Experience Team on 01372 814 000 who will pass your contact details onto LEAP. LEAP will then make contact to organise a home energy telephone call with a qualified energy advisor.
