Rosebery and Town and Country Housing consider joining forces

Following the Peabody and Catalyst merger on 1 April 2022, Town and Country Housing (TCH) and Rosebery Housing Association are now both operating subsidiaries of the new Peabody Group, with complementary operational areas and strategic goals.

During the course of the coming year, Rosebery and TCH will be exploring how they might bring their businesses closer together. Then, subject to all necessary consultation and consents, we will consider transferring Rosebery Housing Association assets and operations to TCH in 2023.

The Rosebery Housing Association Board meeting on 9 May 2022 and the Peabody Board meeting ten days later opened the way for these early discussions. Preliminary meetings between Rosebery and TCH have been extremely positive and we both see the opportunity to create a new, stronger presence in the south-east, which will benefit our residents.

TCH is based in Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, and currently has 9,500 homes, spread across 15 local authority areas in Kent and Sussex. Bringing together TCH and Rosebery would be a good, regional fit.

Rosebery and TCH are both very much community-based organisations and we both have strong local roots. Bringing us together would provide an opportunity to expand our local presence and deliver better services to our customers.
