River of Hope | Sunday, 5 June 2022 |
National Maritime Museum |

Hosted by Thames Festival Trust |
River of Hope is a global arts-based educational initiative that connects schools through the study of rivers. Two hundred of the selected artworks will be printed onto silk flags and processed for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant. In addition to viewing the 200 beautiful designs from around the world, you can also see some of the other fantastic submissions. Each of the final designs features a silhouette of an inspirational figure, such as a local hero, an environmental campaigner or a member of their school community, together with a scalloped edge reminiscent of a postal stamp. Chosen people include David Attenborough, Marcus Rashford and Charlie the dinner lady. |
Online, there are some additional events. We hope that you’ll be motivated to visit them! Click here for information on events in the UK. |
