Multicultural Festive Jubilee Street PartySunday, 5 June 2022

This event will include a steelband and two singers. The party will take place between 1pm and 6pm, with opera singers Ann Fridal and Reem Kelani performing solo, and Calypsonian Alexander D Great, who sang “Big Party for the Queen” on Britain’s Got Talent and received 800,000 views, taking centre stage.

Our community is quite varied, and we strive to host activities that reflect as many cultures as possible. The event will also hold yoga by Lata, who will host a yoga class to encourage people to participate and a lovely tent where older neighbours can sit and enjoy refreshments.

Hot air balloons: take offSunday, 5 June 2022
Battersea Park
Hosted by Balloon Regatta®
For all the early birds reading this, the balloons are set to take off at 5.30am, which means that they’ll be silhouetted against a wonderful backdrop of the city sunrise. Just keep your fingers crossed that the wind’s blowing in the right direction so they can all take off.
Dittons library jubilee picnicSaturday, 4 June 2022
Dittons Library, Mercer Close, Thames Ditton, Surrey, KT7 0BS, United Kingdom
Hosted by Dittons library

River of HopeSunday, 5 June 2022
National Maritime Museum
Hosted by Thames Festival Trust
River of Hope is a global arts-based educational initiative that connects schools through the study of rivers. Two hundred of the selected artworks will be printed onto silk flags and processed for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant. In addition to viewing the 200 beautiful designs from around the world, you can also see some of the other fantastic submissions.

Each of the final designs features a silhouette of an inspirational figure, such as a local hero, an environmental campaigner or a member of their school community, together with a scalloped edge reminiscent of a postal stamp. Chosen people include David Attenborough, Marcus Rashford and Charlie the dinner lady.

Online, there are some additional events. We hope that you’ll be motivated to visit them! Click here for information on events in the UK.
