Subletting –
why does it matter?

We are committed to being fair especially when finding somebody a home to live in. If a Rosebery tenant is subletting their property to somebody else, families with genuine need for the home will miss out.

It matters to us: 

• When someone is making money by renting out a property which isn’t there’s to let, often paying for lavish lifestyles from the profit
• That someone is still on the housing waiting list or transfer list because the home they need is being illegally sublet
• Because they are stealing a home from people who cannot afford private housing

Help us stop subletting

We need your help to catch people who are doing it, so please let us know if you think someone is subletting one of our homes. If your information leads to Rosebery successfully identifying a property which is being sublet you could be eligible for a reward up to £100

You don’t have to tell us your name and all information will be treated in confidence.
