Leaseholders

Rosebery has the freehold interest for about 380 leaseholders. We're responsible for managing and maintaining the building you live in and you pay a share of the costs for this.

Some of you will live in block of flats with communal areas. We provide cleaning and repairs services for these areas and you pay towards the cost.

We'll write to you at the beginning of the financial year (1st April) with an estimate of the service charge you have to pay. At the end of the financial year we'll carry out a calculation to compare the estimate to what we've actually spent. If we have charged you too much we'll put a credit into your account. If we've not charged you enough then we will ask you to pay this and there will be a debit to your account.

As a leaseholder you can sublet your property. But you must make sure we have your contact details because you will still be responsible for paying all charges.

Routine repairs will normally be carried out without us contacting you and we'll send you a bill for your share of the cost. If we need to do anything which is going to cost you more than £250.00 we must check with you first.
