How do I Pay my Rent?

You should make paying your rent your first priority.  It’s really important, as you could lose your home.  If you cannot pay for any reason you should get in contact with Rosebery straight away.  We can offer you advice on dealing with debt and arrears and also refer you to a specialist debt advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Rent statements are sent out four times a year to keep you up to date with your account.  If you would like a statement sent to you please contact us.

If you are on a low income, and can’t afford to pay your rent, you may be entitled to housing benefit.  Contact your local borough council to complete an application.  You could also click here to fill in a Benefits Calculator, which will give you an estimate of what you would be entitled to.

You must pay your rent every Monday for the week to come. You must pay the full amount that is due. We will automatically send you a rent payment card at the start of your tenancy and give you a choice of ways to pay. These are:

Direct debit

Direct debit is the easiest way to pay your rent.  Your rent will automatically be paid from your account on any date that you want. You can also have your direct debit go out either:

  • Weekly
  • Fortnightly
  • Four weekly
  • Monthly
  • Or even quarterley and yearly

Standing order

We can provide you with details which you will need to pass to your bank when requesting to set up a standing order. You will also need your rent account number (tenancy reference) as a payment reference. Please click here to download a Bank Standing Order form.

You can also set up a Bank Standing Order and internet payments through on-line banking services. If you would like to do this you will need our bank details which are as follows:

Callpay Telephone Payments

  • To make a payment for your rent you are only a phone call away
  • You can use your debit or credit card to make the payment
  • Call our Customer Services Team on 01372 814000 and make sure you have your tenancy reference number and the credit or debit card details with which you wish to pay with
  • We will provide you with a transaction reference number and if you would like a receipt, we can email or post it to you

If you have an ‘allpay’ card you will be able to pay using the following methods:

  • Online - visit www.allpayments.net
  • Telephone – you can pay by credit or debit card over the phone using allpay’s Interactive voice response service on 0844 557 8321.
  • Post Office – Use can use your allpay swipe card at most post offices or shops with ‘Paypoint’ outlets.
  • Text Pay - for more information on this and to register your phone number, go to www.allpay.net/text_payments. Once it's set up, you'll be able to pay your rent simply by sending a text.

Cheque payment

Send us a cheque to Rutland House, 57-59 South Street, Epsom, Surrey KT18 7PR.

You should make it payable to ‘Rosebery Housing Association Limited’ and ensure that your name, address and rent account reference number (tenancy reference) is provided on the back. The payment will take approximately five working days from us receiving it, to reach your account.

At the office

We can accept payments by debit card, credit card or cheque. But NOT cash payments.
