Rosebery provides homes in areas that have a high demand for housing. So building more affordable homes is a priority.

Rosebery Housing Associations (RHA) success in providing affordable homes has been due to successful partnerships we have built over the last ten years. The Associations positive relationship with the Housing Corporation has given a significant boost to our Development Programme. Through the SAPPling Housing Partnership, RHA has secured partnering status with the Housing Corporation.

Our excellent working relationship with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and indeed the other district council areas in which we work has led to RHA receiving strong support leading to an increase in our Development Programme.

Effective partnership building is just as important at a very local level. For instance, our partnership working with North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) and Blenheim High School has led to the development an IT Resource Centre in Epsom for these organisations and indeed the wider community.

Our ambitious Development Strategy aims to provide an average of 100 new homes per year during the period 2005-2010. This Strategy will double the number of homes that we provided in the previous 5 years. The Strategy also provides us with a framework for delivering future projects.

There remains a significant unmet need for affordable housing in Surrey and West Sussex to which RHA is responding in a positive way.

Shared Ownership

Shared ownership is designed to help those who wish to buy a home of their own but who cannot afford the cost of buying outright. The scheme is specifically aimed at first time buyers and is a part buy part rent scheme which can give you the opportunity to buy part of a new or existing home. You pay a subsidised rent on the part that you do not own to Rosebery Housing Association.
